State Court Interpreting Pathway: Live Virtual Courses

For learners who prefer a structured, live-virtual classroom environment, we offer live virtual courses for state court interpreting. This format blends instructor-led virtual sessions with our 24/7 Online Interpreting Laboratory, giving students real-time guidance while maintaining flexible practice access.

This program prepares you for the State Court Interpreter Exam in any state and provides comprehensive training in terminology, criminal proceedings, and sight translation techniques.

Course Sequence (Live Virtual Program) 

To earn the Certificate of Completion for the Live Virtual program, students must complete all 6 required courses with a 70% or higher score.

Simultaneous Techniques and Criminal Terminology - $348

Introduces simultaneous interpreting up to 140 WPM, core criminal terminology, quizzes, final exam, and full lab access.

Consecutive Techniques and Criminal Terminology - $348

Builds consecutive interpreting up to 40 terms per segment, with instruction, quizzes, exam, and lab access.

Interpreting in Superior Court: Misdemeanors - $348

Covers misdemeanor proceedings, legal vocabulary, false cognates, slang, and register.

Interpreting in Superior Court: Felonies - $348

Expands to felony cases, advanced terminology, and detailed legal structures.

Sight Translation: English into Spanish - $348

Teaches localization, restructuring, and stabilization skills using court and legal documents.

Sight Translation: Spanish into English - $348

Continues advanced sight translation techniques with bilingual legal document practice.
