Medical Interpreting Pathway

Prepare for certification and the realities of medical interpreting with comprehensive, practical training.

Our Medical Interpreting Program is 81 hours because that is the level of training needed to be fully prepared for national certification and to work professionally. While the National Board requires a minimum of 40 hours, that minimum alone is not enough to pass the exam or perform effectively in clinical settings. If needed, we can issue proof of 40 hours once a student completes the first 40 hours within the 81‑hour program.

Whether you’re beginning your career or expanding your professional interpreting scope, this program prepares you to confidently pass the Medical Interpreter Certification Exam, including CCHI and NBCMI, and work effectively across medical settings.
